About the game
An Egyptian five-reeler built on Flaming Frames: a frame lands on a symbol and stays lit while the cycle of ten spins runs, and on the last of them everything it covered turns wild at once. The base game is quiet on purpose, because the whole slot is aimed at that tenth spin.

Solar Queen opened Playson's Flaming Frames series in summer 2019. It is an Egyptian slot on five reels and 20 lines, where everything revolves around burning frames and every tenth spin. According to the game card, the stated RTP is 95.78%, volatility is high and the max win is 2668x the bet. We explain how the cycle works and what to expect from it.
Burning frames
When a sun symbol lands on the reels, its position lights up with a frame. The frame does not disappear with the next spin but stays in place until the end of the current cycle of ten spins.
The tenth spin
On the last spin of the cycle, all positions under the frames turn into wilds at once. The more frames have built up, the more wilds this spin gets and the higher the chance of a big combination. Suns that land in frames that are already burning further increase the multiplier. After the tenth spin the cycle starts again. That is why the base game here is deliberately calm: nine spins are preparation, and the tenth decides the result.
Free spins with scarabs
Three scarabs on the first, third and fifth reels give 10 free spins. In the bonus, every sun that lands immediately becomes a sticky wild and stays on the grid until the end of the round, and the multiplier built up in the base game carries over into the free spins. This is the strongest moment of the game.
The Flaming Frames series
Solar Queen was the first game in the series; later Playson released Solar King, Solar Temple and a Megaways version. Each has its own maths, its own RTP and its own win ceiling, so the figures on this page apply only to Solar Queen.
Who it suits
The slot will appeal to those who like to follow accumulation and do not mind long stretches without noticeable payouts: sometimes a tenth spin with only a few frames brings almost nothing. Start with demo mode, and for real money play set your session amount in advance.
